We arrived in the land of sky blue waters at about 10:30 pm Friday night and quickly tried to get everyone to go to sleep. Once that task was accomplished, we adults passed out immediately. We woke up and spent some time with the (great)grandparents, and then off to the hunting camp we went to set up for the week.
This is the first time we went to camp and were the only ones there. We had the whole place to ourselves. Here are some pics of us chillin' out all alone in the woods for the first couple of days. We made the first night a movie night...we popped some jiffypop on the camper stove and watched the Spiderwick Chronicles on the DVD player. At night we could hear the coyotes howling, the owls hooting, and things rustling in the woods. Not to mention the rain you could hear pounding on the metal roof of the camper.

Nostalgia Days activities
In addition to the carnival, Nostalgia days consists of old cars, food, and a new addition this year: lawnmower races. It was a beautiful day...highs in the 80's and after some early morning showers, it was dry as can be. Max likes looking at the cars that look like Snotrod from Pixar's "Cars." Daddy was hanging out with the new GT500 Mustang.

Carnival Time
It's festival time again around these parts and Zion had its annual Nostalgia Days celebration. We packed up the kiddies and headed on down to the Carnival. We met up with a girl I work with and Max had a new friend to play and ride with. Megan sucked it up this year and went on the Zipper, first with Daddy because she was scared, soon after that she was riding alone. She loved it, she is quite the daredevil. Max wasn't quite tall enough to take in all the excitement, so he spent time running around with Jayden going umpteen times through the fun houses and riding the big slide. You can see they teamed up on Megan on the Sizzler.

Happy Fathers Day
OK, so this post is a tad bit late, I've been a bit busy keeping up with 4 children. :) ( I can use that excuse until they are all 18 too ) :) We spent the day shopping at the mall and doing some yard work. We had the parents over for dinner. Hope everyone had a great Fathers day!!

Congrats Megan on your Orange Belt
Megan tested for her orange belt today and passed her test. Woohoo!! It was hot and humid in the building, but she gave it her all.

Key Lime Cove
Key Lime Cove
Megan's girl scout troop celebrated, with the money they earned from cookie sales, at Key Lime Cove. This is a hotel/waterpark that is here locally. It just opened up in February and it was awesome. I got to help accompany the girls and help them enjoy their stay. I wish I would have brought my camera to take some pics of the girls either swimming, dancing or jumping on the beds in the room.
We were all on a scavenger hunt through out the whole hotel, when they came on the intercom and told us all to go back to our rooms because we were under a tornado warning. It sure made for an interesting trip :)
