Bridging ceremony

Megan and the rest of her Brownie troop had a ceremony to bridge over to a junior girl scout tonight. Each of the girls crossed over the bridge and then received their new girl scout vests. Good thing we got a new vest too, the other one was completely out of room for patches.

Memorial Day Parade

We packed up our camper early and headed on home, so Megan could walk in the parade with her Brownie troop. Keira and Max loved watching all the action go by. Connor on the other hand was a bit crabby and didnt feel well.

Camping time

Since we had the hitch put on the van, the title on the camper all switched over, and it was a holiday weekend, Bill wanted to go camping, NOW. So Friday after work, we started packing up and tried to head out to where Grandma Pam and Papa George have a camper, in Rome, Wisconsin. Unfortunately, Friday never happened, since as Bill was checking the air pressure in the tires, the valve stem broke off and no place was still open at 7 pm. So we were delayed a day, but got new tires put on and were on the road by 11 am Saturday morning. It's about 70 miles from here, but far enough to get away. The kids all had a blast and we toughed out one heck of a storm too.

Megan's Spring Fling

Megan had her Spring Fling performance at school tonight. They had a patriotic theme and each class sang a couple of songs. They all did a very good job.
Clip to be posted soon.. It is taking forever to be able to view on google, so I am trying photobucket to host it.

We will always remember you Nick

Please keep Bill's cousin Nick and his family in your prayers. He was in a car accident this afternoon and passed away. We will always remember his smiling face and his bubbly personality.

Why I won't buy from Walmart.com ever again...

I have had the worst experience with Walmart.com and our local Walmart. I suggest that you never buy from them online ever again. I know I won't be anytime soon.

I ordered a big Safari Wagon for the twins and had it shipped to the store for me to pick up (none of the area stores carry this model). I got the email saying it was in, Bill went to go get it and after waiting for an hour for them to find it, lo and behold the store lost it. So here I am with no wagon and I have still been charged 150 beans. After contacting the store many times over the course of two days, nobody can seem to find this huge box.

At this point we are looking for more people to contact, since the manager at this Walmart is really no help to us. So I call the 800 number and speak to some representatives their regarding my situation and wondering where my wagon is. They contact the store and after 30 minutes they tell the rep that they do not have the item and it's considered lost. So now we know that it is lost at the store, so we are expecting a new one to be shipped out to us, right? Oh no, that's not the case... They tell me they will credit my credit card in 3-5 business days and I can reorder the wagon online again and pay another $150 and they will credit me the shipping costs. Are you kidding me? They want me to be out 300 bucks and no wagon? I don't think so. This is their standard procedure. I guess if they lose something, they will credit you the money back and you can waste some more time and reorder it. I could never imagine telling a customer something like that. Why not just send a new one out to me??? You already have my money, you know the store doesn't have it, and I don't have it. I am still going round and round with management, each phone call brings me to someone higher up. Now if only ANY of them will call me back.

We just had to vent this out and spread the love. I'll let you all know how this turns out.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me..... you know the rest.

Since I have become a mother, my special days usually get rolled into one. I don't mind though, I just milk it for as much as its worth. We celebrated on Saturday night by going out to dinner and my presents were presented to me on Mother's day. When you get this age, you are lucky to remember how old you are and what the presents are for anyways. :)

Happy Mother's Day

It was kind of a relaxed day for me (for once). I got to sleep in, had breakfast made for me ( and actually got to eat it while it was still hot). I got a beautiful necklace from Megan, a Wii game from Max and Connor, and a DS game from Keira and Daddy. Even the crappy weather couldn't bring down the happiness in this household. I have truly been blessed over and over (and over and over) again with the amount of love and happiness these children bring me. Even after all the fighting, yelling, screaming, gimme thats, and its mine, I can't complain. I can just go in my closet, close the door, get in the fetal position and hide :)

Happy Mother's day to all the wonderful Mothers out there.

Speedracer

Bill and Max went to go see Speedracer and he came out with mixed emotions over the movie.. He said it was very colorful and bright, but it was kind of disappointing from the way he made it sound. It wasn't the Speedracer he remembers as a kid.

While they were watching the movie, Megan and the twins went shopping with me in the mall :) Megan was able to pick out my Mother's day present, and all I had to do is pay for it. The ladies at the jewelery counter in Sears were very accommodating in helping her and not letting me know what she was picking out. I had to promise not to look at the receipt.

Max's Mother's Day treats

Since Megan got out of school early today, I picked her up and rushed over to Max's school for singing, gift giving and ice cream sundaes. His class sang songs for all the Moms and then they each gave their Mom a present. Then came the ice cream sundaes. Connor preferred the marshmallows in a cup and Keira liked the whipped cream. Max had a bit of everything in his and so did Megan. I remember for Megan's program like this, she served the ice cream to me, boy have times already changed. :)

New Pics

Since I had the day off and the kids only had a half day of school, I decided that I would take them out to get their pictures done for Mother's day. Nothing fancy, I went to the Disney store and got matching shirts and walked over to Sears. I figured I have all these Smile Saver discounts for JC Penney and Sears, I might as well use them. Connor was not thrilled by the flash. He freaked out after each picture as you can see in these prints. Both Grandma's enjoyed their presents of these pictures in a nice little frame.

Day at the Park

It was kind of a nice day and about 60 degrees, so I threw the twins in the bike carrier and Max hopped on his bike and off to the park we went. We got to the park and we were the only ones there. It was great :) I plopped Keira and Connor in the baby swings and they absolutely loved it. They giggled every time I pushed them. Max enjoyed himself on the slides and the grown up swings. We stayed for about an hour and back home we went. About half way home I heard silence coming from the bike carrier. Both babies fell asleep. It was so cute, Keira was using Connor as a pillow :)

Sleepy babies

After church the babies were so wore out from being so good :P They passed out just like this, I didn't even have a chance to take off shoes or coats.
